Compasso d’Oro for Secco OS2 75

Compasso d’Oro for OS2 75 - the oldest and most prestigious international award in the field of design has been given to the new profile created by Secco Sistemi.

Congratulations Secco Sistemi!

Originated in 1954 from an idea by Giò Ponti, the objective of the Golden Compass award is to highlight the value and quality of Italian design. Each year a committee comprising experts, designers, critics, historians and specialized journalists selects the most representative Italian products in the field of design. The jury motivated their choice as follows: "The relationship between the opening and transparent surface has always been one of the industrial challenges in the production of doors and windows. 0S2 75 has established a new standard by combining the thermal break and isolation with extremely moderate dimensions and attractive aesthetic flexibility, thanks to its profiles in painted steel and Corten, stainless steel and burnished brass."

Offering a vast variety of different kinds of openings and an infinite possibility of façade arrangements, minimal sections and high performance characteristics, materials and impeccable finishings, 0S2 75 enhances the architectural project that strives to design the door or window in each and every detail. Recent creations using this slim 0S2 75 profiles are to be found in the monumental settings of the Scuola Grande della Misericordia in Venice; the uninterrupted glass panes of elegant villas in California; characterizing the luxurious retail areas of the new Rinascente in Rome; as part of the sophisticated interior of the modern art gallery Kunsthaus Dahlem in Berlin.
